Hello again everyone. It seems that my game journals will be somewhat inconsistent in their release for the time being. It feels like its been a little too long since I had a post updating my readers about my gaming journey, so here’s what I’ve been up to!
- Pokémon TCG Pocket
- Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
- Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
- Dokapon Kingdom
- Kirby Air Riders
- Octopath Traveler 0
- Pokémon Champions
Pokémon TCG Pocket:
Well, I’m still collecting the cards in this digital phone game. I have obtained all the diamond level rarity cards in series A, except for the deluxe pack EX set. I am working on series B now, with Mega Rising’s diamond rarity card complete so far. I do not play this game competitively, so having good decks in this game are not a priority.
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
I’ve played this game on occasion. My current goal is to max out the stats of all non hidden characters. I also try to get through the Harder of the two dungeons, the Lagdou Ruins as quickly as I can to do this. I may share my best times in a new article called High Scores in the near future.
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
I want to play more of this game, but I have a little bit of a backlog of games right now. I am up to chapter 13 at the moment, and look forward to playing more soon…
Dokapon Kingdom
I am playing a multiplayer campaign in this game with two friends. Lately, they haven’t been free on the same day yet, so we are only on chapter 2. I haven’t played a full game of Dokapon, yet so this is all new to me.
Kirby Air Riders
I obtained this game somewhat recently. I completed the road trip mode, and gained new game + in that mode. I have a lot of the characters and machines, but not all of them. I hope that I can get more of them by playing city trial, and find them all. I may include my best times in time trial in a High Scores article.
Octopath Traveller 0
I’m near the end of one of the major story threads. I haven’t played this game as much as I’d like, and it seems there is some post game content after I complete the part I’m at. Honestly, the reason for that is the next game I’m here to talk about, which is…
Pokémon Champions
This is what has been taking up most of my gameplay lately. I managed to get into Masterball Rank 4, with me sometimes slipping into Masterball 3 in doubles (which is a better ranking than 4 in this game). I may share my ranking once this season is complete in a future High Score article.
I do have some thoughts about this game. While there are some bugs and performance issues in this game, it does scratch the itch for competitive Pokémon, especially if you are bored with Scarlet and Violet versions. That being said, this game is not for everyone. New players that don’t have other Pokémon games and want to play for completely free will have the hardest time, unless they are lucky with what the game gives them, and they play a lot. Those who don’t have a mind for the complexities of competitive Pokémon may not like this game either. I also wouldn’t recommend paying for the game’s starter pack or membership options if you want to get ahead of the competition.
Your best bet is to own a Pokémon game that has access to most of the this game’s most viable Pokémon, and to transfer them through Pokémon Home. If you want to transfer your Pokémon more conveniently between games, you may want to get the paid version of Pokémon Home. If you are already playing Pokémon for competitive battles, then this may be a good game for you. If not, you may need to invest in other Pokémon games to participate in this one.
And that’s all I have for today. I hope to update the site more often than I have, so stay tuned as I journey through more games. I intend to update the site once a month, but the timing could be inconsistent. Until then, see you later!
