Hello, I’m back with more high scores and records that I managed to find and make in the past few months since I posted. This sort of post will be something that I will create intermittently when I manage to create or dig up these new records. Now let’s get started!
Here are the games I will feature today:
- Pokémon Champions
- Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
- EDF: Earth Defense Force
Pokémon Champions:
Here are my final placements in ranked mode for the last three months in Pokémon Champions

Anyone who read the previous records and high score article would recognize the team from the previous month. It seems that the game had shifted in such a way that my ranking has been declining. The third month shown featured a new ruleset, so my team had been rearranged based on that. I have coaching on the blaziken as the most noteworthy adaptation, which sort of works in my favor. Apparently, I have a ways to go if I want to get great at this game.
Incidentally, I will be taking a break from Pokémon Champions, as I feel undermotivated to play daily, especially since there are very few local tournaments in my area. Personally, I want to play a wider variety of games (I do have a number to catch up on), and playing a game daily that has no “end” cuts into my ability to finish my backlog.
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones:

Good News! I managed to get a faster time clearing the harder of the two dungeons! I was sure to record what my previous best was for proof. I tried to move through this part of the game in a different manner, and got mildly better results. Nice!
EDF: Earth Defense Force:

This old space shooter on the Super Nintendo is borderline unknown these days. If it weren’t included on the Super Nintendo Switch online app, I wouldn’t have discovered or played it! I think this score was on the third continue, so I think I have a higher score on the second continue in this run. I have yet to beat this game, by the way. Incidentally, I chose the homing weapon for this score. Unfortunately, this game doesn’t have a built in save feature, so I’d have to image save each score in the future to compare it…
That’s all for now. Later!
